Taiwan Annual
In 2017, "Art Together" has been invited to Taipei, Taiwan to participate in the large-scale exhibition "Taiwan Annual" presented by "Association of the Visual Art in Taiwan". The current exhibit showcased documentations from our selected mobile and exchange projects, along with old and new artworks by participating artists.
For example, “Art for Survival” rolled out mobile art installations onto streets in Hong Kong and Macau in 2010 and 2011 to look for survival tactics for contemporary artists nowadays. “In Search of the Coastline” invited artists and art students to conduct art parades along the old harbor coastline in 2014, to explore more different perspectives to appreciate our surroundings through connecting local districts’ cultural and historical contexts with art creations. In 2016, we extended such connection with the nature, by hosting “Sustainable Festival” to celebrate arts and living for sustainability. On the other hand, our collaborative projects with “Art Oxygen” in Mumbai, India (titled “Bori Bunder” (2016) ) and art exchange programs with Waley Art in Taipei from 2015 to 2017 encourage and assist participating artists to explore different possibilities for art-making in public space, and to have cultural exchange with audience from other regions using their familiar art language.
